This simulation remembers. You need to find an way out of this place. Every time you seem to die, things start rewinding, but you leave ripples throughout the world. How many "deaths" will it take before you can get out?

This gameplay prototype fleshes out the general mechanics of the game. I'd love feedback on the gameplay as well as the vibes to gauge how enjoyable it is at the moment!

This game COULD be good for speedrunning, bust out a livesplit and see how quick you can do it. My best time is:

48.77 SECONDS, BEAT THAT!

You'll be able to find upgrades throughout each level in the form of orbs called "data chips".  Their enhancements are described in the terminal at the bottom left of the screen.

The general vibe of this game shifted massively throughout development. I initially wanted an action packed, intense game about rushing through against the clock, but it's developed into this eerie, more haunting experience.

The controls are explained in the data logs of the main menu (I'd highly recommend reading them, I enjoyed writing them!), but if you're not into reading:

Movement: WASD

Dash: Right-click (With the echo shard upgrade, you can dash out of the rewind state once per level.)

Interact: Left-click

Jump: Space (you can double jump with the air breakpoint upgrade)

Anchor: (With the failsafe kernel upgrade) Press Q to place an anchor, then press Q again to return to the anchor.

En Passant: (With the En Passant Protocol upgrade) Press E to swap places with the wisp you are looking at.

Finally, if you play this and enjoy it, I am so grateful to have piqued your interest! It means the world to me that you bothered to click on this silly little game and give it a playthrough!

If you didn't like it, PLEASE tell me what you didn't like! You can be as mean as you want, I can handle it!

Feel free to drop a donation or check out my Ko-Fi, it would really help me continue to develop these silly little games for you!
